On November 1, 2021, the client purchased a 2018 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 and was told by the dealer that it was a perfectly good, in-shape car. Unfortunately, right after the purchase, the engine began to make a knocking noise and the turbo began to make noise and the turbo began to malfunction and eventually stopped working.
When the client took the car to the dealer for assistance, the dealer refused to repair the car without the client paying for the repairs. This is obviously an unfair exchange as when the car was sold, no problems were presented and now only a small amount of time after purchase, the car is having issues. After this interaction, the client revoked ownership of the vehicle.
Looking for assistance, the client called our offices to try and see if there was any chance of some relief. Consumer Action Law Group and the client recovered over $50,000 including recovery of down and monthly payments, out-of-pocket expenses, payoff of the loan balance, and attorney fees, with deductions for miles driven to help heal the damages caused by the dealer during all of these interactions.
